Re: Why Krill Oil Beats Fish Oil

The trouble with Krill Oil is the Omega 3 oils are low, despite what the manufactures say. The sole advantage of the K.O. is that it delivers the oil in a mainly phospholipid form which can cross the blood brain barrier, although not nearly as well as a lyso form. The advantage of fish roe is that i...

Yes, that is the paper. The failure to use isoliquiritigenin embedded in an ethanolamine plasmalogen was a little frustrating and yet has such huge potential.

The Influence of APOE Genotype, DHA, and Flavanol Intervention on Brain DHA and Lipidomics Profile in Aged Transgenic Mi

A step in the right direction. I would be interested in seeing if the flavanol was substituted by Isoliquiritigenin,(Isl) a chalcone extracted from liquorice root. Isl has a plethora of beneficial effects including beneficial cognitive effects, quite an amazing molecule.

Re: DHA amounts

I apologise in advance if this is yeaterdays news but this article looks of interest to APOE4 carriers Entorhinal thickness: A marker of DHA supplementation efficacy? The entorhinal cortex (ERC) area in the brain is affected early in AD, particularly among APOE4 carriers. We previously reported a po...

Re: Plasmologens for Neuroregeneration

Try the one at the top of this page for starters, "Plasmalogens Eliminate Aging-Associated Synaptic Defects and Microglia-Mediated Neuroinflammation in Mice". I will dig out some more tomorrow. Anecdotally 0.5 mg/capsule of Plasmalogen from NeuroRegain manages to survive, and seems to have...

Re: Prodrome blood test results, initial and over time

Thank you, I felt that it was an important counter to arguments suggesting that a plasmalogen supplement of ethanolamine plasmalogen was doomed to failure. Quite the contrary, it seems Neuroregain manages to have an effect with just 0.5 mg of plasmalogen per capsule. I believe, without direct eviden...

Re: Plasmologens for Neuroregeneration

With respect, it is not Goodenowe's research confirmed. It is research by many who went before him confirmed . In fact he has suggested that supplements cannot work due to the fragility of the ethanolamine plasmalogen molecule within the stomach environment. (The workaround if that was correct is an...
